Bronte Sisters' Home in Yorkshire

Wuthering Heights fans will feel right at home in Haworth, Yorkshire, at the home of the Bronte sisters.

There is enough atmosphere clinging to the house still to make a few shivers run up the spine - especially as there is a graveyard right next door and moors out the back.

Though Haworth is busy in tourist season, few people wander more than a hundred yards or so from Bronte Central.

Blackpool for Seaside Fun

Blackpool. It's one of England's prototypical holiday spots - historically tacky, but in such an open and unpretentious way, you have to love it.

Lancashire hardly conjures up images of beaches, but getting to the seaside is something Brits have enjoyed since the Industrial Revolution gave them something to escape from. (That's my theory, anyway
